Dave's piece

This small off-cut from an oak became a commission for Dave, the woodman. He and his lovely wife live in the forest, surrounded by deer; birds and green growth. With the request for red in the piece(berries), I found most of their frequent visitors,in the shape of a deer's head, a bird and a mouse in the undergrowth to fit their kitchen and their surroundings.
